A dumb crook bags three years in jail after he was recognised by his mother-in-law when he robbed a shop she worked in.
A dumb 24-year-old armed robber,
Kyle Iveson, has been sentenced to three years in jail after he was
recognized by his former mother-in-law, Karen Brown, in a robbery attack
at the shop she used to work, reports Metro UK.
Iveson had burst into the Thoroughgoods Shop in Clitheroe, Lancashire, armed with a twelve-inch knife shop wearing a mask
but when he realised that the petrified Brown worked in the shop, he
changed his voice but that did not stop her from recognizing him in the
video footage of the raid.
After he stole the sum of £650, Mrs Brown who is the grandmother to his daughter, immediately reported him to police.
Speaking in the Preston Crown Court, Brown said:
"He
was shouting and swearing and straight away I knew it was him. He was
one of those people who has a certain type of walk and although he had a
scarf around his face and his hood up, I recognised him a mile off.
My
daughter’s relationship with him was a mistake. He used to take great
pleasure in grinning and taunting us when he saw us but we tried to
ignore him and not let him get to us.
I’m not surprised he did something like this
I have my granddaughter out of it and I wouldn’t change her for the world, but otherwise I wish he didn’t exist."
