Nkiru Sylvanus, Shan George are plus one today

The top actresses who have starred in hundreds of movies between themselves are birthday mates

Nollywood veteran Shan George is a year older today, April 21, 2015. The Cross River actress had her big break in 1997 when Sadiq Daba gave her a role in the now rested NTA soap opera Winds of Destiny.

The first movie she acted in was Thorns of Rose by the late Jennifer Ossai. She also acted in the soap opera After The Storm. From then on her career rose to great heights. She had a few controversial movies along the way too.

Presently, she's seen as one of the mothers of Nollywood.

Today also happens to be the birthday of Nollywood actress Nkiru Slyanus. Popularly known as 'Blessing' for her breakout role in the Nollywood trilogy 'Cry For Help', Nkiru was highly popular in the 00's for her portrayal of down to earth, and girl next door roles.

In 2011, she entered the world of politics when she was appointed Special Assistant on Lagos state affairs to the Imo state government.
