Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has sacked the current Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba.
Abati further stated that Abba has been
replaced by Deputy Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase with
immediate effect. Arase will act IGP with immediate effect
Previous reports had stated that Jonathan was unhappy with the IGP over alleged security and protocol breaches
