Ladies, can you live with your Mother-in-law?

The incessant clashes between wives and mothers-in-law caused the nickname 'Monster-in-law' to be created.

Humans are generally protective of their loved ones especially when the get the idea that they stand to be replaced by someone else.
This attitude in many people causes them to be overprotective and meddlesome, often leading to clashes over the third party.
Mother-in-laws and wives are no exceptions to this territorial display. The age old clashes of Mothers-in-law and wives might have even been the reason the word 'Monster-in-law' was coined.

Anyway, a lot of wives find it increasingly difficult to live with their mothers-in-law, while many women out of affection, want to spend time with their married son, especially when is he is either a beloved one or the only child.
Seeing how this has caused clashes between the two parties, wives and mothers-in-law tend to avoid having to put up with each other, maintaining a safe distance while retaining a relationship with the man.
This is not to say all mothers-in-law and wives always go at each other at every chance they get. A lot of families especially the more social African communities tend to have the mothers-in-law and wives coexist peacefully, even forming a bond like mother and daughter.
This therefore proves that it's a usually a case of personality and difference of opinion that makes the women clash, and not because of their roles in the life of a man.
That being said, what is your opinion? Can you live with your mother-in-law?
Let's find out what some ladies have to say.
